As part of our ongoing Neighbourhood Plan endeavours to create better walking and cycling routes for the area, we have put in a bid for a way-marked family friendly walking route and separate ‘there and back’ cycle route from Limpsfield Chart to Limpsfield Village.

Limpsfield Parish Council will be working closely with the National Trust, Friends of Limpsfield Common and Surrey County Council to look at the best routes possible, which will also incorporate information boards to highlight the many interesting historical aspects to be found around Limpsfield and will also aim to support local businesses by highlighting the various refreshment stops en route – e.g. The Carpenters, The Bull, Coffee @ Kiwi House, Memorial Stores and the Limpsfield Royal British Legion.

The walking route will be separate to the cycle route. The cycle route has yet to be fully worked out but we are working with Jon Rayner of Limpsfield Fitness on this as he is the expert on off-road cycling around the area!

This is the first step in applying for funding and a more detailed submission will to to SCC if we get enough support to move to the next stage.

So, we would be very grateful if you could show your support for the bid by “Agreeing” to the idea on the Surrey Fund website.

In order to show your support for this project, simply click on the little thumbs-up/ ‘agree’ icon on the Surrey Your Fund commonplace web page.

Scroll to the bottom where you will see the thumbs up/agree icon.  There is then a very short survey to complete.

Please share the link to family and friends – the more agreement we have, the more likelihood we have of getting the funding.

When you are on the Your Fund page you will also see other bids in the area from Friends of Limpsfield Common, The Limpsfield (Tennis) Club and Limpsfield Chart Cricket Club and the Limpsfield Royal British Legion. Please help them by supporting their bids too.

Thank you.
