Despite the rain last week, three of our dedicated councillors (Briggs, Wilson and Osborn taking the photo) planted two Japanese cherry trees towards the front of the Hookwood Bungalows – to replace two diseased trees that had to be removed.
It was VERY wet, but they succeeded, and probably won’t need to water them for a while 🌸🌳
Another great footpath upgrade on FP209 near Guildables Lane with the assistance of @andycountryside, replacing a tricky and wobbly stile with a much easier kissing gate.
Complete with new flank fencing to the left that keeps walkers safely away from the barbed wire.

Well done to the Tandridge Access Group (with support from Cllr Ann Osborn) for obtaining a grant from Cllr Cameron MacIntosh, @surreycountycouncil to install a mobility gate with radar key at each end of the footpath from Granville Road to Detillens Lane, connecting Limpsfield Village to Oxted.
These are now in place with aggregate funded through the grant to improve the path surface. LPC has also funded additional aggregate on the Detillens Lane section as a result of requests by Detillens Lane residents.
Thank you for the great work as ever from Andy Wright at @conservation_access.

If you don’t know about Limpsfield’s Community Orchard, pop along to their Tasting Day on Sunday 24 September and find out about all they do… you may want to even sign up as an orchard volunteer… It’s a lovely space just off Grub Street opposite the Chart Golf Club.
