Does your charity or local community group have a great idea for a health & wellbeing project? Applications for the Tandridge Community Fund – grants of up to £2,000 – close 27 November.

Local good causes have less than two weeks to apply for funding of up to £2,000 towards initiatives which directly improves the health and wellbeing of residents.
 
For more information about the grants, including eligibility and how to apply visit, www.tandridge.gov.uk/communityfund. Applications must be submitted by midnight on 27 November. The grant allocations will be decided by the Tandridge Health and Wellbeing Board by the end of January 2021.

Tandridge Together Community Fund

We are inviting local community and voluntary organisations to apply for grants of up to £2,000 from the Tandridge Together Community Fund. The grants will be awarded in the new year to local charities and voluntary groups which demonstrate the work they do improves the health and wellbeing of people living in the district.

The overall fund available is raised by people buying weekly tickets for the Tandridge Together Lottery. This year, the fund also received a generous donation of £1500 from Ridge Radio, as a result of their 96 hour marathon radio broadcast over the August bank holiday.

Eligible organisations (local charities and voluntary groups) are invited to apply for funding of up to £2,000 towards initiatives which will directly benefit residents in the district through one or more of the following activities:

  • Support people to be able to live independently for as long as possible.
  • Support people to improve their emotional and physical health.
  • Target services at under-represented and / or hard to reach groups.
  • Effectively safeguard people from abuse, neglect or poor treatment.
  • Reduce social isolation.
  • Help reduce reliance on alternative, higher cost state interventions.
  • Support and enable carers to carry on caring for as long as possible.

This year, the fund also received a generous donation of £1500 from Ridge Radio. 10p from every lottery ticket sold goes directly into the Tandridge Together Community Fund for the Council to distribute in small grants.
