The rubbish and recycling collection teams are doing their very best to keep up with increased loads while having decreased workforce. Please help them by following these important guidelines…
Please be advised that due to the current lockdown, our next scheduled Parish Council Meeting – 20th April – is cancelled. We will advise when the next meeting will be as the current situation with the coronavirus crisis develops.
Thank you so much to everyone who has been volunteering to help those in need around the Parish. We’ve been amazed by the huge effort of the community to ensure everyone is OK.
It’s very important that anyone volunteering is also following the strict guidelines as to who can help on street level (i.e. out and about collecting groceries and prescriptions etc) and how you can do this…
Please be advised that following government guidelines, all local playgrounds are now closed until further notice. This means that unfortunately, the Limpsfield Chart Playground is out of bounds to the public.
While we all hope that the coronavirus will run its course in as short a time as possible so we can get back to normal, we must be aware that there will be a number of people in our community who are more isolated than usual, may need help, support or just a bit of company.
Coronavirus does not appear to be going anywhere very soon and cases are increasing in the UK, however we are urged to remain calm and be sensible with regards to prevention. Here is the latest information and advice from the NHS…
There are currently 3 buses operating around Limpsfield – the 236 to East Grinstead, 594 (Westerham / Limpsfield Chart) and 595 (Westerham/ Tatsfield).
It was great to see our Limpsfield Parish Council orange bins going to a good home yesterday. The lovely chaps at Men’s Sheds in Oxted (based at The Woodhouse Centre) will be using them to store their wood and tools for workshops. They’re also turning our old suggestions boxes into bird nesting boxes.
